Michigan Anglers' Basecamp - May 2025

Anglers’ Basecamp is an adult program of MITTEN Outdoors Adventures & Events, brought to you in collaboration with the fly fishing community. The camp provides an opportunity for fly fishing clubs and individual anglers to experience some of the best fly fishing in the world at a very affordable price.

Furthermore, there is a charitable purpose to the camp. The proceeds from Anglers’ Basecamp support the Michigan Crossroads Council, Scouting America in pursuit of their mission; to develop character, integrity and leadership in today’s youth through quality programs, outdoor experiences, and service to the community.

The Camp

Anglers’ Basecamp is located in the central part of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula at Camp Rotary.  It has one of our country’s clearest spring-fed lakes, scenic rolling hills and fragrant pine trees, making it one of the most beautiful camps in the country.  Located in Clare, Michigan, Camp Rotary has over 1,100 acres and abundant natural resources, Camp Rotary is the perfect basecamp for all of your adventures.

The camp runs weekly starting in May 2025.  The cost of the camp is $580 for the full weeks and $385 for the one short week — all inclusive (does not include getting to and from camp). Reserve your choice of weeks at this spectacular fishing destination.

Guests will enjoy three full meals a day along with snacks and fruit to keep you energized throughout your days on the waters. The camaraderie and scenery are second to none and wildlife abounds.

Our location affords the opportunity to fish the waters throughout “northern-lower” Michigan, including on the Au SablePere Marquette, and Manistee Rivers.

What is included in the Camp

Heated bunkhouse lodging

Bunkhouse lodging with private restroom and shower facilities located on the grounds of Camp Rotary. (While twin sized bunk beds are provided, no top bunks will be utilized.)

Meals & Snacks

Three full, hot meals a day prepared by our onsite chef. Plus all the snacks and fruit you can eat.

Kitchenette / Laundry

Kitchenettes are available for use in each bunkhouse area.  Laundry facilities are available in the Dining Hall.

Central Location

Our camp is centrally located around some of the best fly fishing locations in Michigan.  We have a full interactive map that shows the best places to visit.  As a bonus, there is a lake on camp property for fishing as well!

Individuals, Groups, and Couples

We can easily accommodate individuals, as well as fly fishing groups and families/couples.  A wonderful way to escape with your closest fly fishing companions or meet some new ones.
