Camp Hiawatha is 800 acres of pristine spruce and pines, and encircles Bunting Lake, a 60 acre lake in the middle of Hiawathaland National Forest in the heart of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, between the towns of Munising and Chatham. Close by are many trails and waterways including the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, The North Country Trail, Grand Island, and the Autrain River. It offers many opportunities for groups throughout the year as a base camp if they wish to explore the surrounding Hiawatha National Forest or hike along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
We offer a wide range of customizable programs including aquatics activities, shooting sports, ecology & nature programs, STEM-based programming, and so much more!

Munising Location Reservations
Reserve your facilities below using our online booking system. Click Log In to create a login to manage your bookings.
Daily rentals are 8am – 11pm unless otherwise noted on the facility. For overnight bookings, check-in time is from 5-8pm; check-out time is from 8:30am-noon. Your director will work with you to best meet your needs. No payment will be required until the camp director confirms your reservation.
